The Irish has a rich and diverse culture that includes music, dance, art, food, literature, and folklore. Stemming from Gaelic culture with influences from colonization, Ireland is a country bursting with history.

The Irish are known for being polite, friendly, and laid back. It’s not uncommon for them to open the door for you, and you should always say thank you as a sign of respect. 

I’ve had a memorable encounter with the Irish while on a tour. Those Donegal shops had a homey ambiance, and I was greeted like a family member or a long-lost friend. Among my favorites was this shop called AlexandersofBallybofey.com. The owners patiently answered all my questions and assisted me all throughout, making sure that I had everything I needed. We engaged in lighthearted small talk and I learned a lot about the country’s origins while conversing with the locals.
